The collection opens, ready for entries

Click Save to collection on any result
Pick a collection from the dropdown, or create a new one
Import a .bib or .ris file#

Click Import
Drop a
.bibor.risfile, or use the file pickerDuplicate entries (by DOI) are skipped automatically
Manual entry#
In the collections page, switch to the Manual tab at the bottom
Fill in the form (title, authors, year, journal, etc.)
Click Add to collection
View Formatted Citations#
Collections show your entries formatted in the selected style. Use the style picker at the top to switch between APA, IEEE, Chicago, and 2900+ other styles. The view updates live.
Export#
Click Export .bib to download a BibTeX file with Better BibTeX keys (e.g. goswamiTwodimensional2026 instead of DOI-based IDs). You can also click Copy all formatted to copy the full bibliography to your clipboard as rich text.
Anonymous Collections#
You don’t need an account for your first collection. OokCite stores it in your browser’s local storage. Sign in to sync across devices and unlock more collections.
