Share a Collection#
You can generate a public, read-only link to any collection. Anyone with the link can view the entries and export them as BibTeX.
Generate a Share Link#
Open a collection on the Collections page
Click Share
A link appears (e.g.
https://ookcite.turtletech.us/shared/abc123def456)Click Copy to copy the link
What the Recipient Sees#
The shared page shows:
Collection name and description
All entries with title, authors, year, journal, and DOI links
Tags
An Export .bib button
The recipient does not need an OokCite account.
Revoke a Share Link#
Open the collection
Click Share (it reopens the share panel)
Click Revoke
The link stops working immediately.
Limitations#
Sharing requires a signed-in account (not available for anonymous local collections)
Share links are read-only – recipients cannot edit the collection
There is no expiry date; revoke manually when done
